Wetstone

Hardscaping and Outdoor Living Across the Northshore and Greater New Orleans

St. Tammany Parish, Greater New Orleans, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Hardscapes include all the parts of your yard you demand the most from, yet they’re usually the last thing anyone plans for or makes upgrades to. From patios and retention walls to decking and outdoor kitchens, Wetstone Custom Pools crafts surfaces and structures that transform what’s outside into a spectacular outdoor living space.

Surfaces

Surfaces That Hold The Line

Hardscape structures are the first to show their age if the base underneath them was rushed. Our patios, walkways, and driveways are set on a foundation that accounts for how southern ground moves and drains, and expertly finished in stone, brick, pavers, or poured concrete that coordinates seamlessly with your home’s exterior.

Structure

Walls That Strengthen and Beautify

Retaining walls serve as an elevation solution even before they provide decoration. On any lot that slopes, the wall is what makes the rest of your outdoor enhancement plan possible. Our retaining walls are built for the load with proper drainage installed to keep them looking as straight ten years later as they did the first day. Seating walls, planters, and garden structures come out of the same masonry work so every element of the project creates harmony.

Our Process

How a Hardscape Project Runs

Consultation
We walk the space and talk through how you actually want to use it.

Planning
The layout gets drawn against the house, the grade, and whatever else is going in the yard.

Materials
Stone, brick, pavers, and finishes are chosen together and seen in person before anything is ordered.

Installation
Our masonry crews build it, with one project manager running the schedule.

Common Questions

What materials do you build in?

Stone, brick, pavers, poured concrete, and tile, chosen for the house and for how much sun and traffic the surface takes. We'll even bring samples out before anything gets ordered.

How much maintenance does hardscaping need?

Much less than what grows around it. Sealing and occasional cleaning keep most surfaces looking right.

How long does a hardscape project take?

It depends on the size and whether a pool or planting is going in at the same time. You get a schedule along with the proposal.

Can hardscaping go in around a pool that is already there?

Yes. Replacing decking and coping around an existing pool is a good share of what we do to bring outdoor spaces to life.

Tell Us What You Want for Your Space

We pay attention to the details, like where people will sit, where they’ll cook, and even where the sun lands at six o'clock. Send photos or just an address, and we’ll come to check out your property and price the whole project based on your budgetary needs.

Elevated Spaces

Stone and Planting, Drawn Together

Hardscape sets the bones of a yard, and planting softens them. We recommend the two be designed at the same time or the result can look like two unrelated projects that met in the middle. Let Smoketree Landscape handle the planting while Wetstone Custom Pools crafts your pool, patio, decking, or outdoor kitchens.
