An ordinary backyard in an exclusive Northshore neighborhood is transformed, emerging as an intimate tropical enclave of privacy and serenity. Curving lines of the freeform pool and spa reshape the once-rectangular space. Natural stone supports a pergola seating area and forms a pool grotto and water feature, adding elevation, privacy and levels of enjoyment. Rustic wood, moving water, custom lighting and an artificial turf inlay on the pool deck soften the hardscape. The design elements of the poolscape extend to the approaches of the home with a blend of natural-toned pavers. The exterior pool entrance welcomes guests with gas lanterns, a custom iron gate and a no-maintenance artificial turf entry space.
